CME Online (April 2024)
Dear Colleagues,
I am sending you the e-blast notification of Category A CME activities for the month of April.
Monthly CME activities in the New Google Calendar Format
We have adopted the Google Calendar to tabulate the accredited CME activities for the coming month. Please click https://rb.gy/ocr4l8.
Cancellation of dual capture requirement of virtual CME activities longer than one hour
Please kindly note the “dual capture” requirement of virtual CME events longer than one hour has been cancelled.
From now on, fellows attending any CME activity need only to record their attendance once using the method designated by the event organizer, regardless of the event duration. This applies to both face-to-face meetings and virtual meetings.
Guidelines and declaration of handling commercial influence on the CME activities
We would like to draw the attention of the CME event organizers to the new requirement, recently adopted by the HKAM, of declaring the appropriate handling of commercial sponsorship when applying for CME accreditation.
The three-point declaration has been added to the application form, both on the College Website and on the iCMECPD website.
All CME event organizers are kindly reminded to avoid undue commercial influence on the educational material provided in their activities.
(The information is abstracted from the event organizers on 25 March 2024. Members and fellows are reminded to contact the enquiries listed in the google calendar for last-minute alternations.)
Yours sincerely,
Dr WU Shun Ping
Chairman of Education Committee
c/o CME Subcommittee
